Mashaal: PA State Before Recognition Decision

Hamas top terrorists Khlaled Mashaal said Saturday that only a PA state could decide whether or not to accept Israel's right to exist and recognize it. Until the establishment of such a state, there could be no acceptance of such a state, a report on Israel Radio quoted Mashaal as saying in an interview on Al-Jazeera. Israel, the U.S., and the EU demand that Hamas accept recognition of Israel's right to exist as a Jewish state as a prerequisite of the establishment of any additional Arab state.

In the interview, Mashaal reportedly told Al-Jazeera that “no one can demand that the Palestinians do anything at any particular time” after being asked if the terror group would recognize Israel if an Arab state is established in Judea, Samaria, and much of Jerusalem.
