MKs to Discuss Doctors' Strike
The Knesset will hold a special spring recess session to discuss the doctors' strike, which is still going on. The session will be held Wednesday, at the request of 25 Mks.
MK Rachel Adato, who organized the session, said that the government's ignoring of the strike “means that it is ignoring the true problems of this country's health system. The attempts by the Treasury to create 'spins' around the difference in pay grades and to drive a wedge between senior doctors and surgeons will cause many doctors to abandon public medicine for private practice, which will deepen the crisis and create manpower shortages.”
