Lieberman to Face Trial on Bribery Charges
Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman will face criminal charges over alleged bribery, the attorney general announced Wednesday. Lieberman will be charged with receiving a bribe, violating public trust, money laundering, and tampering with a witness.
The charges relate to allegations that Lieberman received millions of dollars from private businessmen between 2001 and 2008, when he served as an MK and minister. The funds were allegedly channeled through companies Lieberman owned.
