Approximately 200 people have been killed in clashes between protesters and security forces in Syria, a Syrian human rights group reported Wednesday.

Iranian officials said Tuesday that they believe the West – America and “the Zionists” in particular – is behind the protests in Syria. The West is inflating reports of protests in order to create the false appearance of widespread dissatisfaction, they said.
