Interior Minister Eli Yishai met Monday with mayors and community leaders of towns near the Gaza border, and promised them additional help to aid them in coping with Hamas' latest terror campaign. Yishai praised the strong stand taken by residents of the area, who have refused to allow themselves to be intimidated by Hamas rockets, and by the professional and sensitive leadership provided by the mayors and local authority heads.

Yishai instructed Ministry officials to develop a three year plan which will increase funds for infrastructure, transportation, education, security, and repair of buildings damaged by rockets fired by Gaza Arab terrorists.
