A Kassam rocket exploded Sunday evening in an open area of the Ashkelon Coast Council region. No injuries or damage were reported.
The launch of the rocket by Gaza terrorists came in spite of messages that the Hamas leadership in Gaza tried to send to Israel that it was interested in calming things down in the area, following the launching of more than 120 missiles at Israel since Thursday. Israel refrained from attacking terrorist targets in Gaza.
