Egyptian General Prosecutor Abd Al-Magid Mahmoud decided, on Sunday, to summon former president Hosni Mubarak and Mubarak's sons Ala'a and Gamal for investigation. They are accused of being connected to crimes committed against demonstrators during the January 25th Revolution, in which many Egyptians were killed or wounded.
In a recorded message broacast on the Al-Arabiya network, the deposed leader was heard denying all the charges levelled against him since he was forced to step down and placed on house arrest in Sharm El-Sheikh. He said he could not keep silent about the attacks on his good name after waiting weeks for the general prosecutor to prove that he had no bank accounts, real estate or property in Egypt or abroad.
