Barak: We'll Stop if They Stop

Speaking Sunday morning, Defense Minister Ehud Barak said in an interview on Israel Radio that Israel would stop attacking terror targets in Gaza if Hamas stopped firing rockets at Israel. “If they stop firing and quiet returns, that would be good,” Barak said.

Barak added that the process of halting terror from Gaza was likely to be slow. “There are no instant solutions,” he said. He added that the IDF would only undertake a major operation in Gaza, like Operation Cast Lead,if it was necessary.
