Knesset Chairman Rivlin spoke from New Zealand with his substitute, MK Yitzchak Va’aknin, about the goings-on in the State Control Committee, and requested he present Rivlin’s opinion at the committee’s meeting on Tuesday.
Rivlin is of the opinion that Committee Chairman Hasson should accept the demand of the committee majority to expand the comptroller’s investigation on the funding of flights by Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu. “The Knesset chairman must assemble the Knesset for discussion upon majority demand, and so should a committee head. It is required by the regulations.”
MK Hasson has already stated that "he has nothing to hide", and will not hinder the comptroller.
