Better Mail Service for Jerusalem Arabs
Jerusalem city officials held meetings this week on how to improve mail service in majority-Arab neighborhoods of the capital. Postal service in some areas has been slow, due in part to the closure of one office pending a tender process, and in part to rapid population growth as tens of thousands of Arabs move to be on the Israeli side of the Judea and Samaria separation wall.
Officials have decided to reopen the A-Tur office, which had been closed, and to issue a tender for the creation of a new office in Ras el-Amud.
