Clinton Condemns Syrian Repression
United States Secretary of State Hillary Clinton condemned Syria for its harsh response to anti-regime protesters on Tuesday. “I expressed out strong condemnation of the Syrian government's brutal repression of demonstrators, in particular the violence and killing of civilians in the hands of security forces," Clinton said, relating her remarks to international leaders.
Clinton is in London to meet with various foreign leaders regarding the situation in Libya, where Muammar Qaddafi's troops continue to battle rebel forces. The U.S. and several European countries recently intervened to level the playing field by demolishing Qaddafi's air force.
