Facebook has removed a page calling for a third “Intifada” against Israel amid growing pro-Israel protests. Facebook employees said the page was removed after its administrators began to join the calls for violence.
Previously, Facebook had refused to remove the site, which was seen by many as a threat to violence against Israel, saying it would stay up but be monitored.
The term “Intifada” can be translated as “uprising.” It has been used to describe the Palestinian Authority terrorist campaign that began in 2000 and left more than 1,000 Israelis dead and many more handicapped for life.
