The 'Israir" airline company received permission last Thursday from MK Israel Katz, Minister of Transportation, to begin regular flights from Tel-Aviv to Amman.
At first, the airline intends to activate two weekly fights from Israel to Amman, Jordan.
This will turn Jordan into a most attactive destination, especially for Israeli tourists for whom Jordan can serve as the gate-way to the Far East, the first step on the way to locations such as Bangkok, New Delhi, Hong Kong and other cities.
In the year 2010 there were a total of about 115,000 passengers on Tel-Aviv - Amman flights.
