Messer to Testify in Olmert Trial Tuesday

Attorney Uri Messer, a legal partner and aide to former prime minister Ehud Olmert, is scheduled to testify Tuesday in Olmert's corruption trial. The testimony is expected to last six hours an focus on the investment center and Talansky charges.

The Talanski charges involve large sums of cash brought to Olmert by American businessman Morris (Moshe)Talanski and allegedly handled by Messer. Olmert is accused of using his position as minister of trade, industry and labor in order to advance matters involving Messer at the government's investment center.
