The European Union may recognize Judea, Samaria and part of Jerusalem as “Palestine,” French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe said Tuesday. The idea of recognition is “a possibility that should be kept in mind,” he said.
Juppe added that, “There's no point recognizing the Palestinian state on our own... Personally we're not there yet.”
The Palestinian Authority has refused to negotiate with Israel, and instead is pushing for international recognition of “Palestine” without Arab concessions on issues such as the cessation of terrorism and Jewish rights in Jerusalem.
