The Regavim advocacy group responded on Thursday to the report by the Knesset Committee on the Bedouins in the Negev, which recommended that the State of Israel transfer lands to the Bedouins and compensate them.
"The plan presented in the report gives a reward to criminals who build illegally and then retroactively receive permits for their building," said the group. "The proposed program will only make things worse and turn the Negev into a wild south."
Regavim added that "Whoever gives up on the Negev betrays Ben-Gurion's vision and abandons the country's future. We hope that the government comes to its senses and reject this dangerous plan outright."
