The outbreak of bird flu at a kibbutz in the Gush Etzion region has led to a health scare in the city of Bethlehem. Palestinian Authority officials have ordered the slaughter of 15,000 birds to ensure the disease does not spread.

PA officials did not say whether bird flu had been found in Bethlehem or not.
