After revising the death toll downward Tuesday, New Zealand said Wednesday night that it had discovered more victims of the earthquake that hit the country earlier this week. The death toll now stands at 98, authorities in the country said.
Rescuers said that there was decreasing hope for finding some 300 people who are still listed as missing. Among the missing are citizens the country, as well as visitors from Australia, Britain, France, Japan and South Korea.
