Rabbi Rafael Halperin, part-owner of the Optica Halperin eye-glass chain, collapsed at his home on Sunday.
The 87-year-old rabbi was taken to Tel Hashomer Hospital, where he was listed in serious condition. He was put on respiration and anesthetized in the hospital's intensive care unit.
