Egypt said Sunday that it will open the Rafiach crossing on Tuesday for pedestrian traffic between Sinai and Gaza. Hamas said that it received an official notification on the opening from Egypt.
According to the arrangement, a Hamas official said, 300 Gazans will be allowed to enter Egypt every day. The passage will be open for several hours every day. Over 1,000 people used the passage on Saturday, the first time it was open since the beginning of the unrest in Egypt nearly a month ago.
