Chairman of the Jewish Home Party and Minister of Science and Technology Prof. Daniel Hershkowitz is the latest public official to speak out about the warrant against Rabbi Dov Lior. He has asked Internal Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch to cancel the order to detain Rabbi Lior for questioning. Rabbi Lior is wanted for writing an approbation for the new controversial book Torat HaMelech which states that it is within Jewish halacha to allow for collateral damage if it will save the lives of Jewish soldiers.
