MK Yulia Shamalov-Berkovich (Kadima) said on Sunday that Israel "cannot rely on gas from Egypt."

Shamalov-Berkovich added that "any attempts to 'reassure' the Knesset's Finance Committee members and the public that this in not the case do not sound serious and are irresponsible in my opinion."

She made the comments in response to a report by Merhav Vice President Nimrod Novick.
