After considering the petition by Yoav Gallant that his appointment as IDF Chief of Staff not be dismissed until he had an opportunity to present his case again before the Turkel Commission, the High Court said it would not issue an injunction against his dismissal and the appointment of Benny Gantz, as Gallant requested. The government was authorized to dismiss Gallant and appoint Gantz, according to the decision.

The court will consider the petition in a hearing within 2 days, Gallant was told, at which time the Attorney General will clarify the government's position.
