Large forces of Egyptian police deployed in the streets leading to Cairo's Tahrir Square, forcibly preventing protesters from reaching the major venue of this past week's anti-government demonstrations, according to Al-Jazeera.
A massive demonstration was scheduled for the square following Friday's Muslim prayers.
