The Civil Administration for Judea and Samaria announced Thursday that the Samarian Palestinian Authority village of Um Reihan, in Area C, under Israeli control, near the Samaria security fence in the Jenin area, will be hooked up to the Israeli Electric Corportation (IEC) grid, as of Sunday, as a humanitarian gesture in response to appeals from village leaders.

The Civil Administration said, in a statement, that it funded infrastructure work by the IEC, in additon to providing administrative assistance on a master plan for the 500-resident village, The statement said the Civil Administration will continue to invest resources in such humanitarian gestures.
