The White House said Tuesday night that Hizbullah had used “terror and threats” to push Druze leader Walid Jumblatt to support its candidate for Prime Minister. Jumblatt and 7 of the 11 members of his party voted to approve Najib Miaqti, Hizbullah's performed choice as Prime Minister, for the post.
At a meeting a few days ago, the White House said, Hizbullah leader Hassan Nasrallah threatened Jumblatt with harm if he did not vote Hizbullah's way.
