Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Strategic Affairs, Moshe Ya'alon, said on Monday that "there is no chance that a peace agreement will be reached within a year or two."
Ya'alon added that no one in the mini-Cabinet of seven ministers thinks that a permanent agreement can be reached in the foreseeable future.
"Unfortunately there is no partner who is willing to acknowledge us," Ya'alon said. "If there is no recognition, any Israeli withdrawal will lead to the point that we resume the conflict from new lines."
