Defense Minister Ehud Barak (Labor) made it clear that in spite of various reports there is no news with regarding an Israeli willingness to surrender the Golan Heights, that all efforts should be focused on relinquishing Judea and Samaria to the Western-backed Palestinian Authority and do "everything necessary to reach an agreement".
