Political sources revealed on Saturday that the United States government is continuing attempts to push Israel and the Western-backed Palestinian Authority to renew talks towards an Israeli retreat from the Judea and Samaria regions. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is reportedly traveling to Egypt where he will meet with President Hosni Mubarak to discuss the issue.
"We believe an agreement can be reached through negotiations alone," the sources said. "The prime minister is going to Egypt to try to formulate an outline for this."
