The Prime Minister's Office announced Thursday evening that the letter in which Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu officially asks for the release of Jonathan Pollard will be sent to President Barack Obama of the United States at the beginning of next week.
Pollard has been behind bars for 25 years as part of a life sentence for passing classified information from the U.S. to Israel.
