WikiLeak documents have revealed that Ireland tried to prevent the U.S. from using it as a halfway point for rearmament deliveries to Israel.
The move to rearm Israel followed the Second Lebanese War, when it used up much of its munitions trying to stop Hizbullah bombardments of Israeli population centers.
