Late Saturday night, an enormous American “supertanker” firefighting plane landed at Ben Gurion Airport. The plane, leased from American company Evergreen, holds some 80,000 liters of water.

As of Sunday morning, Israel Radio reported that there were 30 firefighting planes in the air.
