Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas said Friday that if deadlocked negotiations with Israel fail, he may dissolve his Fatah-led PA government and ask Israel to resume full control of Judea and Samaria.

Abbas told Palestine TV in an interview late Friday that such a step is a last resort. However, his comments were seen as the most explicit evidence yet that dissolving the American-backed PA is a real possibility.
