The Knesset approved the second and third readings of a bill by Member of Knesset Eli Aflalo (Kadima) on Monday that would require cellular telephone companies to notify senders of Short Message Service (SMS) messages if the messages were not delivered.

Under the new law, the senders will receive an SMS message saying "failed" for every message that fails to reach its target.
