Member of Knesset Danny Danon hosted about 200 members of the Likud Central Committee and chapter leaders in a meeting at the Knesset on Monday to voice opposition to the imposition of a second freeze on Jewish construction in Judea and Samaria. The World Likud leader said such a freeze contradicts Likud principles in general and a June 24th Central Committee resolution in particular. He said he could not get a straight answer when he asked party leader and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu if there would be a second freeze and continued, "Nobody wants to bring down the prime minister and bring Tzipi Livni to government, but on the other hand, we won't let the prime minister do just what he feels like doing."
The Likud members said, "Building can't be stopped again. Hundreds of thousands of people are being hurt. It is inconceivable that the prime minister declares a few times that there will be no more freeze and then changes his mind."
