Bahrain King Hamad ibn Isa Al Khalifa has appointed Jewish historian Nancy Khedouri to the local parliament. Khedouri will be replacing Houda Nonoo, also Jewish, who was appointed in 2008 as the Bahraini Ambassador to the United States.
