Brigadier General Motti Almoz succeeded Brigadier General Yoav "Poli" Mordechai Thursday as head of the Civil Administration for Judea and Samaria. Almoz had just finished a term as Chief of Staff for the Central Command.
In a ceremony at the Central Command, General Eitan Dangot, the government's coordinator of activities in Judea, Samaria and Gaza, said "The time is one of changes, of the most interesting, maybe even historical, variety. Our eyes look hopefully toward positive developments which will bring calm and an end to the [Arab-Israeli] conflict, but we know that the time to rest has not yet come.
