Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu on Thursday met with British Foreign Secretary William Hague. The two discussed a wide range of issues, with talks focusing on Iran, and on ways to revive talks with the PA. In a statement, Netanyahu's office said that “Israel and Britain are continuing their close ties on strategic matters, especially the Iranian issue. We have agreed that Israel will soon host an official security strategy meeting on the issue. We also welcome Britain's willingness to change legislation against the arrest of individuals who enter the country under universal human rights statutes.”
Earlier, Defense Minister Ehud Barak met with Hague, telling him that Israel was optimistic that it could find a way to overcome PA demands that the building freeze in Judea and Samaria be resumed.
