Nigeria Busts Iran Arms Shipment

Nigerian authorities seized a huge shipment of war materials that were being smuggled from Iran to Middle East terror groups, officials said. Nigeria informed the Foreign Ministry of the seizure Wednesday. Nigerian port security officers seized the shipment of thirteen containers of weapons, bombs, guns, bullets, grenades, and other items, at the port of Lagos.

Nigerian officials said that the officers' suspicions were raised when one member of the crew appeared to be in a rush to push the shipment through customs. Reports over the past several weeks indicated that Iran was trying to ship a large amount of weapons into the area.
