Interior Ministry Director-General, Gabi Maimon, who was arrested last week by Police’s Financial Crimes Unit, has admitted to the charges attributed to him. Maimon was suspected of benefiting from the sale of lands in Yad Binyamin to Gush Katif expellees.
Minister of the Interior and Shas Party leader, Eli Yishai, had expressed his confidence that Maimon was innocent.
