In a special letter to Israel, the Obama administration has apparently offered several security guarantees to Israel in exchange for the extension of the Jewish construction freeze.
The guarantees include a U.S. pledge that Israel would not be required to perform any additional freezes, an American willingness to veto any U.N. resolution against Israel, and support for Israeli control of the Jordan valley.
Some also say the U.S. has promised an array of weapons for attacking Iran, including bunker busting smart bombs.
