Kadima Chairwoman Tzipi Livni urged Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu (Likud) to revive negotiations between Israel and the American-backed Palestinian Authority, which has deadlocked due to the PA's refusal to negotiate with Israel while Jerusalem allows Jewish construction to resume in Judea and Samaria.
Should the negotiations come to an end the ramification for Israel would be grave, Livni said, indicating her feelings that Jewish building in Israel's heartland should be stopped. "Netanyahu should choose Israel's true, long-term interests over political and personal ones."
