Former United States President Jimmy Carter announced on Thursday to visit Gaza next month, accompanied by The Elders, a team of "international wise men", to discuss reconciliation between the Hamas and Fatach factions. The announcement came during a meeting in the US with Palestinian Authority leader Nabil Sha'ath.
