A special ceremony was held in Be'er Sheva on Tuesday to mark Rosh Hashanah. In attendance were the next IDF Chief of Staff Maj. Yoav Galant, heads of the local authorities and officers and commanders of the Southern Command.

During his speech, Galant said: "I have pride in the important social fabric that has been created between the mayors, the  heads of councils, and the governmental bodies in the south. Because of these personal and professional relationships we have led significant action for the residents in the south."
