Major Document Forging Ring Broken
Tel Aviv police on Tuesday revealed that they had uncovered a center for forging of ID cards and other identification documents. The documents were supplied to foreign workers in Israel illegally. The center was located in an internet cafe in the Tel Aviv Central Bus Station. A police raid uncovered $30,00o in cash, blank documents, and equipment for manufacturing the documents. Police believe that hundreds of clients of the “cafe” have already received forged documents. Police also believe that the owners of the center were themselves engaged in bringing foreign workers into the country.
