A report on Channel 1 Tuesday night said that IDF Chief of Staff Gabi Ashkenazi had personally intervened to aid IDF officer Boaz Harpaz in 2007, when he was fired from the IDF. Ashkenazi worked to ensure that he received his pension. Harpaz is accused of being the author of the “Galant document,” which sought to cast aspersions at competing candidates for the Chief of Staff position.
