Russia, China Urge Iran to Cooperated With IAEA
Both China and Russia on Tuesday urged Iran to comply with conditions set by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), after the organization issued a report that Iran has consistently refused to cooperate with the agency, and still prevents IAEA officials from examining nuclear facilities. The White House on Monday called the report “troubling.”
In a statement, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that "he IAEA must continue its work,” and that “Iran must answer the demands of the IAEA." Lavrov was in Paris meeting with his French counterpart Bernard Kouchner on Iran, among other issues.
