The prosecution trial of former prime minister Ehud Olmert has declared Rachel Raz-Risby as a hostile witness in the RishonTours case, where Olmert is accused of double-billing the government and groups for speaking engagements abroad in order to allow members of his family to travel for free. Raz-Risby was the foreign-relations coordinator for Olmert when he was mayor of Jerusalem and minister of industry, commerce and labor.
The hostile-witness declaration follows the discovery of discrepancies between the testimony Raz-Risby gave to police and what she presented in court.
