An analysis of the figures indicates a 7.9 percent reduction in the number of job seekers, primarily among those who are not seeking salary insurance. That includes 18.5 percent among academics and 13.7 among non-academics.
The crisis year in employment was characterized by layoffs in the field of hi-tech and the central region of the country.
