A 20-year-old soldier who is known in police circles was arrested after a number of weapons and a small amount of drugs were found in his house in the northern city of Akko. The weapons included an improvised explosive device and bullets.

The police say that the soldier violated terms of house arrest and would be brought before the Akko Magistrates Court.
